POWER-PIPE SCOOPS SECOND PLACE AT TOP REGIONAL BUSINESS AWARDS
Power-Pipe has been named runner up in the Trade Manufacturer and Engineering Business of the Year category, at The Merseyside Independent Business Awards (29 September).
The Waste Water Heat Recovery firm beat off stiff competition in its group to scoop second place at the glitzy black tie event held at Liverpool’s Titanic Hotel.
Now in its third year, The Merseyside Independent Business Awards was created by Moorcrofts Solicitors to recognise and reward the region’s independent business sector.
Competition judges on the evening included former Lord Mayor Cllr Gary Millar, Liverpool & Sefton Chambers of Commerce chief executive Jenny Stewart and Liverpool Vision chief executive Max Steinberg.
Waste Water Heat Recovery helps to save energy in new homes by recovering warm waste water from showering and uses it to pre-heat incoming cold fresh water.
Ashley Prescott, director at Power-Pipe UK, who collected the award said: “It was an amazing honour to be nominated for the awards, but to go home as runner-up was something else.
“We are proud to have our UK office based in Merseyside which has paved the way forward for industry and innovation for centuries- as well as being the home of great musical talent.
“It was fantastic to see our team shine on the night and have its hard work and dedication recognised by peers across the region. This is the start of exciting times for our business- so watch this space.”
